TWIDG: DGPT 2026 Schedule, Jomez Series & Paul McBeth Headlines

What’s good Disgenerates? Welcome back to another edition of This Week in Disc Golf (TWIDG). I’m your host, Swiss Cheese — yes, the one with all the holes in his game and one half of The Disc Golf World. Still bringing you the hardest, fastest, most unfiltered disc golf coverage on YouTube. Even if the DGPT doesn’t love it.

This week gave us: the unveiling of the 2026 DGPT schedule (with a brand-new JomezPro post-produced series), two stops in Lynchburg for some reason, Am Worlds, and even a surprise Paul McBeth appearance on Tour Life. Buckle up — here’s everything you missed in the disc golf world.

DGPT 2026 Schedule: JomezPro Series and New Stops

Let’s get this out of the way early: this might actually be the best schedule the DGPT has put out in years. No punchline here.

The highlights:

  • New JomezPro Series covering Waco, Cascade Challenge, and Champions Landing Open.
  • No more extended Texas swing.
  • Condensed European swing with less back-and-forth travel.
  • More variety and higher-caliber courses for fans to watch all season long.

Even Jeff Spring hinted at a possible DeLa return in the future. Exciting stuff. But of course — there’s still a “but.”

West Coast Still Overlooked

For all the positives, the DGPT still refuses to truly invest in the West Coast and Mountain region — the birthplace of our sport. Even with the possible addition of DeLa added through Jomez, it doesn’t balance out the lack of elite events out west.

And yes, you read that right: Lynchburg, Virginia gets two Elite Series stops. That’s the same number as the entire West Coast. Wild.

European Swing Shrinks

The European schedule is improved logistically, but elite events dropped from seven last year down to just four. Only one in Finland and no not at the Monster — overall a huge blow to European players fighting for DGPT points and USDGC qualifications.

Krokole, PCS, and Konopiště are taking a year off to rebuild, but the downgrade stings after the best Worlds in disc golf history just happened overseas.

JomezPro Series: Exciting but Complicated

The new JomezPro post-produced series will showcase familiar tour stops, keeping them relevant even off the Elite Series. But there’s a catch: this move could squeeze out smaller production crews like Gatekeeper, AceRun, Go Throw, and Disc Golf Guy. Less competition = less innovation, which isn’t always best for the sport long term.

Amateur Worlds: New Champions Crowned

Harmony Bends set the stage for an electric Am Worlds in both divisions.

FA1 Recap

The FA1 division featured a stacked lead card with Peyton Kho-hut, Hailey Huber, and Terese Cuevas. Peyton threw her first tournament ace on hole 12, but Cuevas forced a playoff and took the win after three holes. That’s her second FA1 major victory this season.

MA1 Recap

Hayden Carroll and his lefty dominance battled RJ Chirkus (mustache game strong) and US Am champ James Coiller. Carroll clawed back late and, after a wild final stretch, secured the MA1 championship by a stroke. Midwest represent.

Paul McBeth on Tour Life

Paul McBeth ended his winless streak — then shocked the community with his first ever appearance on Tour Life. Yes, he and Brodie buried the hatchet (for an hour and a half anyway). Paul was candid, funny, and dropped GOAT-level insight like always.

Oh, and Uli casually dropped a bomb that the Winthrop course was looking rough. That’s strong language from one of the most respected vets in the game. We’ll keep an eye on USDGC prep.

Quick Hitters

  • Lauri Markkanen (NBA star) jersey-swapped with Niklas Anttila.
  • Kat Mertsch dropped a new track — album incoming?
  • Ricky Wysocki dealing with wrist + knee injuries, missed Idlewild.
  • JohnE McCray cleared to play again.
  • New kicks: Isaac Robinson’s Vessi collab, Anttila’s clean all-whites, Valerie Mandujano’s questionable pickleball shoes.
  • Amateur course legend Avery Jenkins hit his 1800th played course.

Wrapping It Up

That’s everything for This Week in Disc Golf. The 2026 DGPT schedule is shaping up to be one of the best yet, even with its flaws. Am Worlds gave us drama, McBeth gave us content, and the community gave us plenty to talk about.
